According to a report by the Greek national television station ERT, at around 6 am on the 26th, the Greek Coast Guard received an emergency rescue signal and immediately launched a search and rescue operation near the eastern islands of the Aegean Sea.
In the end, 22 people were successfully rescued.
According to reports, among the victims, the woman and two of her children came from the same family.
The search and rescue operation continued until noon. At present, the bodies of the rescued immigrants and victims have been transferred to the port of Chios.
