October 27, 2021 The tickets for Macbeth conducted by Riccardo Chailly under the direction of Davide Livermore which will inaugurate the opera season of La Scala on 7 December have practically sold out in a few hours.

On sale from this morning at 10, not only the gallery tickets (from 120 to 420 euros) but also the most expensive tickets of three thousand euros were sold out immediately.

After last year's stop, when La Scala for December 7 recorded a gala of international opera stars that went live on Rai 1, this year the Sant'Ambrogio appointment will return in presence with a cast that includes Luca Salsi and Anna Netrebko. Macbeth's cast also includes Ildar Abdrazakov and tenor Francesco Meli.

The Chailly-Livermore couple thus returns to sign the fourth consecutive opening on 7 December: Attila in 2018 (with Ildar Abdrazakov), Tosca in 2019 with Anna Netrebko, Luca Salsi and Francesco Meli, and in 2020 the show "A riveder le stelle" .

Sales were also very good for all the other five reruns of the show.
