The indictment concerns inadequate accounting during the years 2016 to 2018. According to the Swedish Environmental Crime Agency, the association received almost SEK 4.5 million in payments during this time.

The association has not run a school itself, but has sold services to another association which in turn has run a school.

- This involves a large number of payments to the association totaling just under SEK 4.5 million and payments of approximately the same amount that have not been booked, says Henric Fagher, head of the preliminary investigation and chief prosecutor at the Economic Crimes Authority in Gothenburg.

Two investigations

In parallel with the prosecution, the school itself, which is located in Angered in northeast Gothenburg, is also under investigation for suspected eco-crimes.

- I expect to be able to make a prosecution decision in that part later this autumn.

As it is an ongoing preliminary investigation, I can not comment on these criminal suspicions further, says Henric Fagher.

Denies crime

The two defendants deny any wrongdoing.

- He has one thing to say;

he denies the crime and looks forward to having this tried, says Per Gunnarsson, defense lawyer for one of the accused.
