It was after a person who bought cheese from Lillängen's farm dairy fell ill with listeria and died that tests were performed at Sunneföretaget.

- We received an answer on Monday that we had listeria in cheese and in a floor drain and after that we are not allowed to sell or manufacture anything, says Stig Andersson.

The company has recalled all products and today Stig Andersson and his wife made the decision to close for good.

It would simply be too costly to start everything up again.

This was P4 Värmland first to report.

- We are old and have been doing this for 26 years and at some point it must stop.

The farm dairy produces around 10 tonnes of cheese each year and has around 150 goats that are milked.

After all these years, they have a large clientele and that was not how they wanted to end their business.

- I hope we meet understanding.

If you look in the rearview mirror, we might have stopped earlier, but we live for this.

Do you know how listeria got into production?

- No, we do not know, but it is sensitive with putty cheeses.
