It was at 11 o'clock on Wednesday morning that a truck loaded with dangerous goods in the form of corrosive substances in various packages ended up in the ditch on road 120.

- No person was injured and everything in the cargo survived, says Martin Pettersson from eastern Kronoberg's rescue service.

- We realized early on that there was no danger to the cargo, but it is clear that you become extra vigilant when it is a truck with dangerous goods that is involved in an accident, says Martin Pettersson.

The accident happened between Ryd and Urshult and was due to the driver weighing in for a deer and then ending up in the ditch.

The incident caused a major impact on traffic until noon in the middle of the day, and since the truck remains at the accident site, there may be new traffic disruptions when it is to be salvaged from there.
