President Moon Jae-in will not visit the burial place of the late 13th President Roh Tae-woo, who passed away yesterday (26th).

A key Blue House official met with reporters today and asked whether President Moon paid condolences or not, and said, "Presidential Chief of Staff Yoo Young-min and Senior Political Affairs Officer Lee Cheol-hee will go."

The official said, "The ASEAN+3 video summit is scheduled this afternoon, and we have considered the fact that we have to leave tomorrow."

He also said that there was no disagreement within the Blue House over the decision not to attend the condolences.

President Moon's decision is interpreted as a result of considering the position of the progressive camp, which is still antipathetic to mistakes such as the forced suppression of the May 18 Democratization Movement, along with respect for the former president.

President Moon evaluated Mr. Roh today, saying, "There are not many historical mistakes, such as the forced suppression of the May 18th pro-democracy movement and the military coup on December 12, but there were also achievements such as the successful hosting of the 1988 Olympics, the promotion of the Northern Policy, and the adoption of the Inter-Korean Basic Agreement." .
