October 26, 2021 "It was the hand of God" by Paolo Sorrentino is the film that will represent Italy in the selection for the best international film at the Oscars.
This was decided by the selection commission, set up at Anica at the request of the Academy, meeting today.
He was chosen from among the 18 for which a nomination had been proposed from among films distributed in Italy or in anticipation of being distributed between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.
The official announcement of all nominations will be on February 8, 2022 and the Academy Awards ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on March 27.
