US President Joe Biden will meet his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Friday in Rome, just before the G20 summit, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on Tuesday.
This meeting comes as the United States is trying to smooth things over after an episode of high diplomatic tension with France around a submarine contract, which has led the two presidents to speak on the phone already two times in the past few weeks.
