The role of beverage distributors is not limited to delivering fresh cans.

The customs officers assigned to the surveillance of Millau, in Aveyron, discovered that they could have another function.

During a check carried out last Friday on the A75, they discovered inside a van two broken vending machines.

The vehicle came from Spain and was on its way to Germany.

But the load seemed suspicious to the agents who decided to push further their control.

When disassembling the devices, they discovered almost 90 kg of herbal cannabis inside, as well as 750 grams of cocaine and 100 grams of cannabis resin.

The driver was arrested and the investigation was entrusted to the judicial police service.
