The British capital, London, has expanded the so-called "ultra-low emission zone" from October 25 to further improve air quality.

According to the new regulations, all old motor vehicles whose exhaust gas does not meet the standard will be paid 12.5 pounds (approximately 110 yuan) per day for driving in the relevant area.

London has designated the city centre as an "ultra-low emission zone" from April 8, 2019.

Vehicles driving in this area within the specified period of time have exhaust emissions exceeding the standard, not only have to pay the congestion charge, but also pay for the "ultra-low emission zone".

According to a Reuters report on the 25th, the scope of the "ultra-low emission zone" has been expanded to areas within the South Ring Road and the North Ring Road since that day.

According to the Transport for London website, the "ultra-low emission zone" charges all day except Christmas.

The report said that diesel vehicles that did not meet the European Union’s “Euro 6” emission standards and gasoline vehicles that did not meet the “Euro 4” emission standards would be affected by the above regulations.

According to the requirements of the City of London, only the "cleanest" cars and vans can be exempted from the "ultra-low emission zone" fee.
