France has again crossed the threshold of 5,000 daily cases of Covid-19.

"It is starting again very strongly in the Eastern countries, it is even worrying, in particular in Russia with levels never reached. We cannot speak of a fifth wave but there is a very slight rebound. We must continue to be vigilant especially as the flu and bronchiolitis arrive ", he noted.

"We must do the vaccine booster"

The government spokesperson therefore called for caution.

"We must continue to respect barrier gestures, keep our tools such as the health pass, and for the oldest and most fragile people, we must give the vaccine booster," insisted the government spokesman.

"I appeal to those over 65: 'Get vaccinated with the third dose'".

According to him, scientific studies show that when there is an age-related fragility, protection decreases.

"At the end of about six months, this protection conferred by the vaccine tends to decrease. So it is very important to make the booster," he continued.

Currently, a third of those eligible have received their third dose.

"It's a lot, we're above most European countries, but it's still too little."
