The act in Kongsberg on 13 October shook Norway.

A 37-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of having killed five people and injured three.

NRK has now published a short film clip showing the dissolution of the hunt for the 37-year-old.

The eyewitness who filmed tells NRK that he received a text message about what was going on in the area only when the 37-year-old was on his way into the witness' backyard.

The arrest must then have taken place just a few meters from the witness' front door.

- I heard a shot, so I got up and went to the window.

Then I see that the police are over one person, the witness tells NRK.

Must have used stabbing weapons

It was clear early on that the 37-year-old started shooting with a bow and arrow inside a Coop store in Kongsberg.

After leaving the store, he is said to have continued to shoot arrows out on the street, but then put down the arrows and the bow and instead went on to kill the five people with what the police describe as a stabbing weapon.

Video material important to the police

Police Inspector Per Thomas Omholt, who works with the investigation, tells NRK that the police have tried to get hold of all video material that was filmed in the area at the time of the act.

- Movies are very important because they show parts of the criminal acts.

It can provide an objectively secure clue as to what has happened, and not least, it can provide a timeline.

For example, a passage past a camera can determine where the suspect has been, says Per Thomas Omholt.
