The appeal trial of a 54-year-old man was held on October 12 before the Orleans Court of Appeal.

This school teacher, working in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin (Loiret), was sentenced at first instance, in May, to eight years in prison for several sexual assaults on minors, between 2014 and 2019. Already, in 2019, the man had been sentenced to one year in prison for the sexual assault of a 4-year-old student, reports La République du Center.

According to the young victim, the teacher slipped his hand into her panties as he helped her get dressed after the nap.

His first conviction had been relayed to the parents of the pupils, by the National Education.

Registered in the judicial file of perpetrators of sexual offenses

Following this revelation, several complaints were filed after half a dozen girls, aged 3 to 4, confessed to having suffered similar assaults.

A little girl had even described digital rape, confirmed by medical findings.

The defendant had mentioned a "conspiracy" during his judgment and had only admitted to a sexual assault.

He was sentenced on appeal to nine years in prison.

He was registered in the automated judicial file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses, and he will not be able to exercise activity in connection with minors upon his release.
