The accident occurred at 17:30 on Sunday and a total of three cars were involved.
According to the police, several people were traveling in the cars and a 13-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman were injured and taken to Gällivare hospital.
- The case is being investigated and interrogations have been held, says Elisabeth Glaas, press spokesperson at the police's regional command center (RLC).
It is currently unclear whether there is any criminal suspicion in connection with the accident.
The Norrbotten region announces that the girl had serious injuries while the woman's injuries were minor.
The girl is being cared for in a ward and the woman has been able to leave the hospital.
