Expo 2020 Dubai recorded 1,471,314 visits since its launch until October 24, after it made a great leap last week, receiving about 700,000 visits, benefiting from the wide turnout during the Prophet's Birthday and weekend holidays.

The data announced by the "Expo 2020 Dubai" office, during the media briefing yesterday, showed that children accounted for 25% of the total number of visits, given the large numbers of families that visited the Expo site and the noticeable increase in the number of school visits, noting that Space Week in Expo 2020, which was organized within the ten themes weeks organized by the international event throughout its holding period, contributed to the high rates of visitation, in addition to musical and cultural performances and various event programs.

She pointed out that the pace of visitors to the international event site has not slowed down since the impressive opening ceremony held on September 30, which included a constellation of stars and talents from the United Arab Emirates, the Middle East and various countries of the world, in light of the visitors' ability to experience dozens of cultural programs Every day, as they roam the more than 200 pavilions across the Expo site.

The last long weekend also witnessed a large crowd, who came to enjoy the wonderful musical performance presented by the "Firdaws Orchestra", made up entirely of women, led by Maestro Yasmina Sabah, and under the supervision of international musician AR Rahman, which filled the Jubilee Theater with inspired melodies and tunes. From the world of space, the holiday itself also witnessed another fun party for British artist and songwriter, Sami Yusuf, who was joined by musicians from all over the world in his show entitled “Beyond the Stars”.

Vice President of Communications and Official Spokesperson for "Expo 2020 Dubai", Muhammad Al-Ansari, said, "The significant increase in the number of Expo visitors during the past week is due to the great position of the event locally and globally, with the momentum of the huge events on the site continuing, most notably the Space Week, which achieved A dazzling success, as well as artistic and musical performances.”

In addition, the Vice President of Communications at Expo 2020 Dubai, Shauna McGee, said that it is expected that the number of visitors will continue to rise during the coming period, especially from international markets that have begun to lift travel restrictions, especially in light of the approaching holiday season in Europe. She pointed out that since October 20, approved permit holders have been counted among the number of daily visits, in accordance with the decision of the Expo 2020 Steering Committee at its last meeting, which includes general commissioners from 34 countries.

She stated that many pavilions of the participating countries announced receiving large numbers of visitors, ranging between 100,000 and 150,000, during the last period, including the Saudi pavilion, which announced that it received more than 33,000 visitors in one day.
