With high-end performances representing the masterpieces of Bach, Schubert and Beethoven, and with the music of young talents from the opera, the European Union celebrated, the day before yesterday, its honorary day at Al Wasl Square at “Expo 2020 Dubai”.

The celebration program included activities in different pavilions, as the Austrian pavilion organized an exhibition entitled "European Union - United Nations Industrial Development Organization: A Partnership Based on Respect", which celebrates the existing cooperation between the European Union and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

The Swedish pavilion hosted a panel discussion entitled “Transitioning from responding to the climate crisis to managing risk: new techniques for proactive humanitarian action.”

Musical pieces were played throughout the Expo 2020 Dubai site on this occasion.

The Portugal Pavilion organized a musical evening with the famous guitarist Luisa Amaro.

The Romania Pavilion hosted a live session of classical music under the slogan "United through Classical Music".

A symposium "Global Harmonies" was held at Tira amphitheater, and dealt with music, arts and collaboration, with the participation of many prominent names in the world of European music.

As part of the celebration programme, three young Dutch National Opera artists performed across the Expo 2020 site.

Three talents from the Dutch National Opera performed at the "Expo Dubai", as part of the celebration: French Claire Antoine, Poland's Adam Roggala, and Korean Chanhee Chu.

The Dutch National Opera is one of the most prestigious opera performances in Europe, and attracts young artists from all over the world to train in its studio, and its artists participating in "Expo 2020" include a number of singers and musicians from France, Poland and South Korea.

French soprano Claire Antoine studied at the Regional Conservatory of Toulouse and the Lyon Higher Institute of Music and Dance.

Nominated for a prestigious music award from the Civic Foundation for the Rights of Performing Artists and Musicians, she started her first year as a member of the Dutch National Opera Studio and will soon perform as the lead girl under conductor Lorenzo Viotti.

Bass singer Chanhee Cho, who was born in South Korea, studied at Hanyang University College of Music in Seoul, and earned a bachelor's degree.

In 2017, he sang at the Olympus International Music Festival in Saint Petersburg, and in the same year he won first prize in the International New Voices singing competition in Germany.

After performing his military service in his country, he joined the Dutch National Opera as Soldat II in the opera "Salome".

While Adam Rogala was born in لودód, Poland, he joined the Dutch National Opera this season as a graduate of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, and is a former member of the International Opera Studio Obernhaus-Zurich, and has performed across the country, in addition to training there with a group of singers He will also work as a trainee in the opera "La Traviata and Tosca".
