Eating oranges and getting angry may just be an illusion of your body!

In this season, various varieties of oranges begin to land on the market.

The oranges are peeled off one by one. They are not big, the flesh is very soft, and the taste is sweet. They are very popular. Many people eat two or three catties lightly.

However, many people are still worried about eating oranges. The most widely spread and most influential argument is: It is best not to eat oranges, because oranges are warm in nature and easy to get angry.

Some people say that the oranges are so beautiful now that they are all dyed. Others worry that if they eat too much oranges, they will become "little yellow people". They are not good-looking and harmful...

Do oranges really make people angry?

Do you want to eat oranges?

Today we will talk about oranges.

What are the nutrients of oranges?

VC "big family" in winter fruit

Tangerine is one of the citrus fruits. It has a sweet and sour taste and is rich in vitamin C (VC).

The content of VC in citrus fruits is usually 20-30mg/100g, which is more than the other two fruit stars in winter-apples (1-5 mg / 100 g) and pears (4-8 mg/100g).

In winter when fresh fruits and vegetables are lacking, oranges are definitely a good source of VC. Basically, a medium-sized orange can meet half of a child's daily VC needs.

Moreover, citrus is also rich in potassium, carotenoids, hesperetin, naringenin, etc., all of which are beneficial to health.

Therefore, in winter, oranges are definitely the better one among the few fruits.

Oranges will get angry if you eat too much?

Rinse your mouth promptly after eating

"Getting on fire" is a difficult concept to define.

The so-called "getting up" is the ancient people's summary of a type of body feeling.

Many people get angry after eating oranges, red and swollen gums, mouth ulcers...that is to say they get angry.

What is going on here?

In fact, for oranges, the culprit for these problems is the high sugar content in oranges.

After all, the sugar content of oranges is also 10%.

Eating too many oranges means that you will consume a lot of sugar.

High sugar content can make your throat dry and astringent; some sensitive people may also experience gum and stomach discomfort due to the acid in oranges.

If the mouth is not cleaned in time after eating, these food residues and sugar will easily cause bacteria in the mouth to grow and cause inflammation. The initial stage may be inflammation of the gums. The main characteristics are red and swollen gums, easy bleeding, and swelling.

Are these very similar to how you feel "hot" after eating fruit?

Therefore, many people think that eating oranges is easy to get angry.

But the solution is simple: don't be greedy, you can still eat one or two oranges a day.

Moreover, after eating oranges, use dental floss to clean the pulp residue between the teeth and rinse your mouth with water in time, then you may not feel that there is any fruit that makes you "get angry."

Is it better to eat oranges or drink orange juice?

Of course it’s better to eat oranges

After orange juice is squeezed, almost all of the dietary fiber is filtered out, and too much sugar is very harmful to health.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends not to drink fruit juice for babies under 1 year old. Infants after 6 months of age can eat fruit puree directly, and children after 1 year old should also limit the drinking of fruit juice.

The American Pediatric Association believes that for babies under 1 year old, fruit juice does not have any health advantages, and babies under 1 year old must not drink fruit juice (whether pure fruit juice or not).

Compared with whole fruit pulp, fruit juice does not have any nutritional advantages; it is of no significance to the healthy and balanced diet of infants and children of any age.

Are oranges so red that they are all dyed?

Dyeing is only on the epidermis, not the pulp

There are also many parents who worry that the oranges are now dyed. After all, there have been videos of orange dyeing on the Internet.

In fact, you don't need to worry too much.

First of all, even if it is dyed, the safety risk is very low.

All the pigments and dyes are used in a small amount, because if you use too much, you can wear them out.

The amount is small, the health hazard is not much.

For example, the famous Sudanese Red Duck Eggs was later evaluated and found that eating about 1,000 eggs a day might be harmful.

However, even if it’s okay to eat, it’s still illegal, and we should still strictly resist this behavior.

Secondly, the surface of orange peel is oily, even if you want to dye it, the dye is difficult to penetrate.

Generally, if you touch it with your hand, if your hand turns red, it may be dyed, so just walk away and don't buy it.

The key point is that when we eat oranges, we all have to peel them. The dyeing is at most the skin. The flesh can't get in. You can peel it and eat it again.

If you eat too much orange, will you become a "little yellow man"?

It will only affect the "face value" for a short time

Some people say that if you eat too much oranges, your skin will turn yellow and become a "little yellow man"?

is this real?

Indeed, this is not a rumor.

If you eat too many oranges, your skin will indeed turn yellow, and you may become a "little yellow man".

This is because oranges (citrus) are rich in carotene. If you eat a lot of oranges, the human body will consume too much carotene, which cannot be metabolized by the human body. If the blood content is too high, the skin will turn yellow. This condition is called "hypercaroteneemia", also known as "orange disease". The typical manifestation of this symptom is obvious yellowing of the palms and soles, and in severe cases, the skin of the whole body will become yellow.

However, it will only affect the "face value" for a short time, and will not affect health.

As long as you don’t eat yellow oranges for a while, you will be able to return to normal in a week or two, and you don’t usually need special treatment.

Moreover, in addition to citrus (oranges), carrots, pumpkins, papaya, mangoes and other fruits and vegetables are also rich in carotene. If you eat a lot, they will become "little yellow people."

If you find that your complexion has turned yellow recently, you should also see if you have eaten too much of these fruits and vegetables.

How many oranges a day is healthier?

Too much sugar, just eat two or three

I still want to remind everyone that oranges have a lot of sugar. The average sugar content in oranges is 11.9%, and sweet oranges will be even higher.

If you eat too many oranges, your energy intake is not low.

So, don’t eat too much.

China’s dietary guidelines recommend that the average adult’s daily fruit consumption is about 200g to 350g, which is equivalent to two or three medium-sized oranges when converted to citrus.

If you really like to eat, it’s okay to eat one or two more oranges, but you must pay attention to eating less other staple foods and cleaning your teeth at the same time.
