“The CEC created district and election commissions, and also carried out a set of necessary preparatory measures that will allow holding the presidential elections in Uzbekistan scheduled for October 24 at a high organizational level,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Nizamkhodzhaev noted that to date, 19,859,127 people have been included in the single electronic voter list. 

He also added that all the necessary measures were taken to comply with the conditions of sanitary-epidemiological and public safety during the voting.

Earlier it was reported that the Central Election Commission (CEC) registered President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev as a candidate for the presidential elections, which will be held on October 24.
