Eight people were taken into custody, as part of the investigation into the violent assault that occurred at the exit of a nightclub, this summer, in Marseille-Plage (Hérault), indicates Raphaël Balland, the prosecutor of Béziers.

On August 21, around 5 am, a 25-year-old man was beaten by several people "with great violence, causing in particular serious injuries to the head," said the prosecutor.

His attackers fled, leaving him totally inert on the ground ”.

The victim had been in a coma for three weeks, and his prognosis had been jeopardized.

He is now benefiting from 40 days of ITT and any sequelae have not yet been predicted.

All indicted

The suspects were located in the Drôme and in the Puy de Dôme.

"At the time of the facts, they had come to spend holidays in Cap d'Agde", continues the prosecutor.

On Thursday, they were all indicted on counts of attempted murder and aggravated violence.

"Some recognized their participation in the facts while minimizing them or accusing the other members of the group," notes the prosecutor.

Four of them were remanded in custody and four under judicial supervision.
