The Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi confirmed the completion of the largest proportion of the unified addressing and spatial guidance project, which bears the name "My Address", explaining that the project aims to help individuals, business owners and visitors to easily reach any destination efficiently and effectively, by numbering buildings and naming streets. The department stated, on its official account on the social networking platform, that the addressing and spatial guidance project is on its way to completing the addition of more than 200,000 addresses and 19,000 names of streets and roads in Abu Dhabi on global navigation map applications, in addition to installing tens of thousands of road signs in the regions. The new project, pointing out that the new project achieves six main benefits and logistical goals, which include contributing to the development of how businesses and homes are referred to, and identifying their locations in ways that will benefit all segments of society in Abu Dhabi, as well as improving emergency response time, and also, assistance In delivering goods and services faster thanks to its high accuracy, it also helps reduce the carbon footprint of vehicles by saving time and preserving the environment, in addition to supporting public health, education, planning and operations, stimulating economic growth, and finally, encouraging residents and tourists to explore more destinations.

The department stated that all data and information related to “addressing buildings and facilities” is now available for use on global navigation and map programs and applications, such as “Google Maps”, “TomTom” and “HairMap” applications, and other global navigation systems, which puts all The data is in the hands of the residents and visitors of the emirate, to enable them to perform searches for the addresses of their destinations in it easily and quickly by using the building number, the name of the street, the name of the region or city, or knowing the addresses by scanning the QR Code that is located on the columns of banners Building numbers and street name signs in the emirate, or using smart phones, which contributes to providing accurate information on the address required to be shared with anyone via social media channels.

She added that the department's work teams, in coordination with all partners from government agencies and the private sector, provided workshops to introduce the logistics services of the unified "Enwani" system, within the addressing and spatial guidance project, as part of the department's objectives in providing a smart infrastructure that enhances the quality of daily life for all The residents of the Emirate, and to contribute to facilitating the work of companies and all vital sectors, and to provide an integrated package of advantages that have a positive impact in the economic, social, security, environmental, tourism and cultural sectors, as well as laying solid foundations for an infrastructure that depends on the use of geographic information systems.
