It is the rulers of the municipality, the Social Democrats, the Christian Democrats and the Center Party, who have commissioned the officials to produce a proposal.

Should be temporary

Politicians do not want to close the toilets permanently, but say that this is a temporary solution.

- The City Council has once decided that we should have available toilets in Örebro municipality.

Work is now beginning on how we will be able to meet the requirements, says Marie Brorson (S) who is a municipal councilor and chairman of the program committee social welfare.

Hot question

In recent years, the issue of public toilets has been discussed, including after several acts of violence at Järntorget.

That you want to close the toilets, is not that just a way to pick up political points?

- No I do not think so.

It is a way to have a better society for all of us, says Marie Brorson.
