Lanskaya and her lawyer did not object to the detention, the press service noted.
On October 18, in Vologda, the body of a nine-year-old girl was found, the search for which began after the report of her disappearance on October 16.
Investigators identified and detained a woman suspected of murder.
According to Olga Smirnova, Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child in the Vologda Oblast, the suspect was previously deprived of her parental rights and suffers from a mental disorder.
Also, the investigators opened a criminal case on the mother leaving the child in danger and on the negligence of the prevention system.
The suspect herself made a confession, she was assigned a psychiatric examination.
