Major works on the quays south of Bordeaux are continuing.
As part of the redevelopment of the banks of the Garonne between the future Simone-Veil bridge and the Saint-Michel sports park, left bank in Bordeaux, a new work operation will involve traffic disruptions this weekend, indicates the Euratlantic public institution.

"Carrying out this work during this period is essential for the proper conduct of the operation as a whole", specifies Euratlantique, which must this time demolish the underground passage of the old cycle path.
The access road to the Saint-Jean bridge from the Paludate quay will be closed from time to time from Friday at 8 p.m. until Monday, October 25 at 6 a.m.
The Saint-Jean bridge will therefore be closed in the left bank-right bank direction only.
Euratlantique specifies that pedestrian and cycle traffic will remain possible in both directions.
Transform the urban highway into a landscaped avenue
The redevelopment of the banks of the Garonne is a 19.6 million euro operation that will extend the promenade des quais, which currently stops at the Saint-Michel sports park, to the boulevard des Frères Moga at the entrance south of the metropolis.
This urban highway is thus being transformed to become "a landscaped avenue, the promenade of the Ribeira".
Over 1.5 km, some 3,000 plantations, including 800 trees, are planned, as well as various equipment.
