October 21, 2021 In Washington, the House voted to hold Steve Bannon criminally liable for the offense of contempt of Congress.

The Democrats were joined by nine Republican deputies.

Bannon had refused to testify before the commission of inquiry into the assault on Capitol Hill on January 6, conducted by a crowd of Donald Trump supporters in order to overturn the outcome of the presidential elections.

Now the word passes to the Department of Justice which will have to decide whether to prosecute Bannon who faces up to one year in prison.
