Positive winds are blowing for the Norrbotnia line since the government at the end of the summer commissioned the Swedish Transport Administration to speed up infrastructure projects that have already begun. It is before the stretch from Skellefteå and north that they now hope to cut time. - The message to start planning for the route further towards Piteå and Luleå comes a year earlier than the national plan that is laid next year, says Lorents Burman (S), municipal councilor Skellefteå.
The eight sections on the Norrbotnia line between Umeå and Skellefteå have already been planned.
