SVT Nyheter Örebro has reported that the Crime Victim Support's witness supporters have noticed that the police in several cases do not inform witnesses that they can receive support.
At present, the police only have the obligation to inform victims of crime about the possibility of support, but a state inquiry recently suggested that the same obligation should also apply to witnesses - in an attempt to get more people to testify.
