Petrol and diesel prices in Sweden are at record high levels and dissatisfaction is boiling in social media, among other places.

SVT Nyheter asked Minister of the Environment and Climate Per Bolund (MP) what he wants to say to those who consider themselves dependent on driving and who are now hit hard by the high prices.

- I understand that it is a challenge for many, especially when you have no alternative, and that is the case in large parts of our country.

It is a risk that we have with our fossil dependence, when the price of oil goes up on the world market, the price at the pumps rises, he says.

What does the Minister want to say to those affected by the high fuel price and how much effect does he think the prices have on the use of fossil fuels?
