The Frenchman from Yamaha must keep at least 50 lengths ahead of the Italian from Ducati to afford the title in this race, knowing that he currently has a mattress of 52 units (254 points to 202).

According to the MotoGP scale (25 points for the winner, then 20, 16, 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for the 15th and none after), this opens a multitude of scenarios.

Quartararo will be sacred if:

- he finishes in front of Bagnaia,

- he is 5th and Bagnaia does not do better than 4th,

- he is 6th and Bagnaia does not do better than 5th,

- he is 7th and Bagnaia does not do better than 5th,

- he is 8th and Bagnaia does not do better than 6th,

- he is 9th and Bagnaia does not do better than 7th,

- he is 10th and Bagnaia does not do better than 8th,

- he is 11th and Bagnaia does not do better than 9th,

- he is 12th and Bagnaia does not do better than 10th,

- he is 13th and Bagnaia does not do better than 11th,

- he is 14th and Bagnaia does not do better than 12th,

- he is 15th and Bagnaia does not do better than 13th,

- he finishes beyond 16th place or abandons (and therefore does not score a point) and that Bagnaia does not do better than 14th,

- Bagnaia does not do better than 14th or retires, regardless of Quartararo's result.

If the two men finish the season with the same total of points, they will be decided by the number of victories (Bagnaia can still equal the five successes of Quartararo if he wins the last three events), then of 2nd place (three for the Italian against two for the French currently), then third places (three for the Yamaha rider against two for the Ducati rider), etc.
