As part of Örebro's human rights days, where various events are arranged during the week with the aim of discussing democracy and rights, the association organizes Awesome people escape-rooms - with the support of the Agency for Youth and Civil Society Affairs.

Every day has different themes: afrophobia, Islamophobia and democracy are some of the topics covered.

Change structures

Common to all themes is to highlight topics that they believe should be discussed and paid attention to, in order to contribute to young people's awareness.

With the hope that the knowledge will, among other things, contribute to counteracting structural racism, underlying racist structures.

- We learned that some people do not have it as easy to get a job because of their name.

You say no just because of where the person comes from.

You should never judge anyone, says participant Jonathan Kidane.

- Prejudices can come from previous generations, that even an older family has said something and so the person passes it on, unfortunately, says the participant Zeineb Altonchi.
