In June, the man was released from custody, but still had the suspicions against him regarding involvement in the murder of a man in his 40s, which took place near Fredriksbergsskolan in Ronneby in May.

But prosecutor Marie Lindström has chosen to drop the suspicions against him.

- Now only the detained woman is left, she says.

The prosecutor does not want to go into what she thinks about the motive, but refers to the secrecy of the preliminary investigation.

The indictment was supposed to have been brought on Wednesday, but Lindström has asked for an extended prosecution period until 17 November.

- There may be a new date again, if it turns out that more needs to be done in the investigation, says Marie Lindström.

Defense lawyer: "It has been difficult for him"

Tommy Nilsson, who has been the man's defense lawyer, says that his client felt relieved after being reached by the decision.

- It was an expected end as I see it.

It has been thin evidence and my client has always firmly denied crime.

It has been difficult for him to have this hanging over him for a long time, says Tommy Nilsson.

The man may be called in court in the future as a witness, but at present the prosecutor does not want to go into which she intends to invoke.

- There are several that are interesting to hear.
