The Lyon administrative court annulled the municipal elections in Givors (Rhône) in February.
The decision has just been confirmed by the Council of State.
The highest administrative court followed the opinion of the public rapporteur, believing that "serious acts" had taken place in two polling stations, relays

.
The results were contested by the outgoing mayor PCF.
Beaten by about thirty votes by the ecologist Mohamed Boudjellaba on June 28, 2020, Christine Charnay immediately filed a lawsuit.
She had mentioned in particular "pressure" exerted by supporters of Mohamed Boudjellaba on the day of the election.
This was attested by the presidents of the two polling stations in question.
Believing himself "struck by an injustice", the new mayor of Givors appealed against the decision of the administrative tribunal by turning to the Council of State.
From now on, the Givordins will most likely have to return to the polls.
