85 dead in India and 31 in Nepal in floods and landslides

The death toll from floods and landslides in India reached 85 on Wednesday, officials said, while 31 people were killed in Nepal and 43 others were missing.


In Uttarakhand in northern India, officials said that 46 people had been killed in recent days, while 11 were missing in Kerala in the south, as stated by the provincial chief minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, noting that the death toll there had reached 39.

In Nepal, an official said floods and landslides have claimed about 31 lives.
