“The appellate presentation of the prosecutor has been registered,” the court noted.

On October 13, the Tverskoy District Court ruled to send Zuev to house arrest until December 7.

The investigation asked for the arrest of the defendant.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the rector of Shaninki Zuev was detained on suspicion of embezzling over 21 million rubles belonging to the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development.

The former Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Marina Rakova is also involved in this case.
