The PP believes that Arnaldo Otegi's words to the victims of ETA are totally insufficient, and that is why it is going to promote, on the tenth anniversary of the end of the terrorist gang, an institutional statement that includes the express condemnation of the organization and a recognition that violence never had to occur.

This has been announced by the spokesman for the 'popular' in the Senate, Javier Maroto, who has taken advantage of the anniversary of the end of ETA to clear up the "confusion" about the step that Bildu has taken by expressing that he "feels" the pain of the victims and "should not have occurred."

Maroto has taken advantage of the fact that the Upper House will prepare an institutional declaration to announce two addenda that it considers demands.

If not, it will not be approved, as it requires unanimity.

"Either Bildu condemns all the terrorist action of ETA and says that it never made sense, or there will be no institutional declaration and each one will be reflected in the mirror of truth," the senator explained.

But the truth is that the PP spokesman "fears" that his statement will not go ahead, because it will be stopped by either the socialists or the abertzales.

"One of two: either the PSOE will not include the word condemnation of ETA and will decaffeinate the text, or Bildu will not support it."

"And we will stop getting sick," he has settled.

This means that what the PP wants is to portray Bildu, since Otegi's passage seems to him a staging.

What Maroto demands is clearer: "A condemnation without palliative."

"We are going to see if Bildu signs or not signs a text that condemns ETA terrorism."

"If you sign it, we will have passed that screen."

And if the PP proposal does not prosper, it will be because the PSOE "is on the side of Bildu," he said.

"We must avoid the party of the confusion of Otegi and Sánchez: I whitewash you and you vote for the Budget, that is the game," said Maroto.

"That is why our group is going to prevent this House from playing with words."
