October 19, 2021 The presidential council "with immediate effect" has established a ban on entry to all the seats of the Senate for parliamentarians who do not show the green pass and that in this case the

ban on parliamentary work for ten days

is also immediately imposed

.

This was explained in the

Chamber by the President of the Senate, Elisabetta Casellati, announcing that the "council orders the

sanction to Bianca Laura

Granato

with immediate effect"

. The no-pass senator (Ac), entered Palazzo Madama, seat of the Senate, refusing to show her green pass to participate in the session of the Constitutional Affairs Commission, which must examine the decree that extends the obligation of the green certificate to all jobs.

"I'm not going to show the green pass" Granato said to the saleswoman who asked him at the side entrance, that of S. Luigi dei Francesi. "You can enter - the clerk replied -, but we must make a report to the quaestors". Granato then passed the gate and explained that in the morning a similar scene had taken place when she went to her office, in the former Isma building, outside Palazzo Madama, located in Piazza Capranica: "Even in that case the clerk told me let him pass by announcing that he would make a report to the Quaestors ".

Granato then went to the classroom of the Constitutional Affairs Commission where the examination of the decree on the green pass began, to which the Ac senator presented several amendments: "Let's see what happens when I have to enter the Chamber", she then told the chroniclers.

The Constitutional Affairs Commission of the Senate therefore suspended its work due to the presence in the classroom of Senator Granato. The President of the Commission Dario Parrini took this decision pending information from the President's Office. "I received an official communication from the Quaestors - Parrini told reporters - about the presence in the commission of a senator who had violated the regulation on the green pass. In agreement with the Quaestors, I suspended the session because it is not possible to work when violated the regulation on a point as important as safety and health. Now I await the decisions of the Bureau on how to resume work ".

Senators who refuse to show the green pass will no longer be able to enter Palazzo Madama and the adjacent buildings belonging to the Senate.

The sanctions provided by the Bureau in case of failure to show the green pass, can reach the suspension of up to 10 sessions, with the deduction of the daily allowance.
