TEHRAN -

After the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979 and the change of government in Iran, Tehran's relationship with Tel Aviv changed from a friendly country to one that does not even tolerate any Israeli presence near its borders.

After the normalization of relations between some Arab countries with Israel, especially the UAE and Bahrain, and the Islamic Republic's accusation of its northern neighbor Azerbaijan of an Israeli presence on the border between the two countries and its spying on Iran, the Foreign Ministry's spokesman Saeed Khatibzad stated, "We have clearly informed the neighboring countries that we will not tolerate Israel's presence. We are close to our borders and we will not tolerate that."

On Israel’s efforts to approach Iranian territory and use it as a pressure card on Tehran, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei, warned Iran’s neighbors against “foreign interference in the region as a source of contention and harm.” He also said during the graduation ceremony of the armed forces at the beginning of this month, “those who believe That their security can be preserved by relying on foreign governments, they should know that they will pay a heavy price."

Neighbors and Israel

Given the security events that Iran has witnessed in recent months, including the attack on Iranian ships and Iran’s nuclear facilities and the theft of confidential documents from them, as well as the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, Tehran attributes these actions to Israel, and of course it accuses its neighbors of dealing with Tel Aviv.

Israel has never had diplomatic, economic, military, and intelligence relations with Iran's neighbors to this extent, experts say, as they believe that Iran's neighbors' cooperation with Israel is a way to counter Tehran's regional policies.

Iran solutions and tools

International Affairs and Foreign Policy Analyst Dr. Mustafa Khosh Jashem believes that Iran is primarily adopting diplomatic solutions with these countries, raising their awareness of the dire consequences of Israel's presence in them, and that Israeli hostilities from the territories of these countries will face a strong response from Iran.

Khush Jashem added in his speech to Al-Jazeera Net that "in view of the growth of the resistance axis in West Asia, Israel's moves to provoke Iran and raise the level of tension with it will be met with strong reactions from the resistance axis."

Political analyst and media expert Ali Asghar Shafiyan believes that Israel is trying to destabilize the security of the region and create a state of instability in Iran's relations with its neighbors, especially because the Israeli regime knows that Tehran's plan is to strengthen relations with neighboring countries and Asia to confront economic sanctions.

And Shafiyan added in his speech to Al Jazeera Net that the more Iran can stand on its feet economically and expand its relations with other countries, it will be able to confront Israeli influence, and "this depends on our ability to solve our problems with the West, and perhaps the revival of the nuclear agreement is the most important thing that It can strengthen our country and protect our nation's security."

West Asia expert Dr. Daoud Ahmadzadeh believes that in addition to the existence of the Axis of Resistance, Tehran may use the military capabilities of China and Russia to balance the region in order to balance power to counter the plans of Israel and the United States.

War in the gray area

In fact, there is a confrontation between Iran and Israel on different sides of the land, sea, air and cyberspace, but the two sides are trying to be careful not to make matters worse, and experts call this situation the "grey zone."

Dr. Khush Jesham believes that the Israelis are not seeking an all-out war with Iran, but they are trying to keep their actions somewhere between peace and war, that is, they are trying to increase the level of tension through sabotage and assassination and to some extent before the red line, and they started a strategy that they called “a thousand stab wounds.” “The continuation and end of it will be in the hands of Iran, as he put it.

nuclear program

Analysts believe that the most important item in the list of Israeli allegations against Iran is Iran's nuclear program, and that Iran poses an existential threat to Israel, and the threat is exacerbated with every development of Tehran's nuclear capabilities.

They believe that tensions between Iran and Israel will continue until the United States and Iran find a way for fruitful negotiations, and that security in the Middle East depends to a large extent on the success of the Vienna talks and the fate of the Iranian nuclear file.

They point out that Israel is concerned about the rapprochement of Iran and Saudi Arabia, because if the two countries reach an agreement, many tensions in the region, especially between Arab countries and Iran, will decrease, which will harm Israel from all sides.
