“It was possible to establish the person who sold the surrogate alcohol to the victims, which contained methyl alcohol in its composition,” the message says.
The suspect is a 56-year-old resident of Kurgan; during a search in his apartment and car, they found and seized about 60 liters of surrogate alcohol, which he acquired in different regions for further sale.
The man was charged.
According to the investigation, in September six people were hospitalized after consuming surrogate alcohol, three of them died.
The accused is in custody.
Earlier, a criminal case was opened after the poisoning of a seven-year-old girl with surrogate alcohol in the Orenburg region.
