It was a promise made by the Mayor of Paris in 2018. This Tuesday, Anne Hidalgo inaugurated an alley Mireille Knoll, located on the central median of the boulevard de Ménilmontant in the 11th arrondissement, in homage to this woman of Jewish faith tortured and murdered at her home on March 23, 2018.

On March 23, 2018, Mireille Knoll, a Holocaust survivor, was murdered because she was Jewish.

Today, in the heart of the 11th arrondissement where she lived, Paris salutes her memory by dedicating an alley to her.

To never forget and to continue to fight, united, against anti-Semitic hatred.

The anti-Semitic nature of the confirmed murder

Shoah survivor, Mireille Knoll, 85, was found in her home lifeless, stabbed with eleven stab wounds and partially charred.

Two suspects were arrested shortly after the facts and are due to appear before the Paris Assize Court from October 25.

The anti-Semitic nature of the murder of the octogenarian was confirmed in November 2020 by the Paris Court of Appeal.
