The damage from the riots in the colony No. 1 in North Ossetia amounted to more than 3 million rubles

“The preliminary damage from the illegal activities of the convicts amounted to more than 3 million rubles.

At present, the commission of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia continues to work in the correctional colony, ”the Federal Penitentiary Service said in a statement.

Together with other law enforcement agencies in the regional institutions of the penal system, a set of measures was organized to decriminalize the situation.

In addition, after searches in the colony, they seized more than 180 mobile devices, chargers for mobile phones, headphones and handicraft piercing-cutting items.

The Russian Investigative Committee had previously opened a criminal case after about 200 people staged riots in correctional colony No. 1 in North Ossetia.

Special forces officers normalized the situation. 

According to the Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of North Ossetia Irbek Tomaev, the colony is currently working as usual, none of the prisoners escaped.
