Unification Minister Lee In-young said that North Korea's request to withdraw the so-called 'double standard' was different from the government's position.



Minister Lee In-young responded to a question from Rep. Cho Tae-yong, who asked whether the North's demand for the withdrawal of the double standard could be accepted, at the National Assembly Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee's inspection of the Ministry of Unification today (18th). He said clearly that it was different from the government's position," he said, "I think it is different."



Minister Chung Eui-yong said in a state audit on the 1st of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that "the statement of Kim Yo-jong, the deputy director of the Workers' Party of Korea to stop applying the double standard, is considered undesirable as the North's unilateral argument."



Minister Lee In-young said at the National Assembly today, "I hope that there will be a process of resolving issues through dialogue in the course of the talks."



North Korea is demanding South Korea to withdraw its so-called 'double standard', which regards recent military actions as provocations.
