Report in a Parisian start-up

, by Théo Renaudon

Alain, the manager of this web development agency, is regularly looking for new employees.

But it is never an easy task: "

When we publish a job offer for a CDI for an intermediate developer, that is to say two or three years of experience, we hardly receive two or three applications. qualified per week.

If we want to be able to make a selection of candidates, it is not enough, he

notes.

The problem is the lack of trained young people.

And as long as there is a strong demand, we are on salary levels that can be quite high and that we, as small businesses, cannot necessarily match.

"

To overcome this, a solution:

teleworking

.

This allows Alain to search for candidates in a larger geographical area, to pay them less and to respond to a demand from employees.

“

Clearly, today, if you don't offer telecommuting, at least partially, there are candidates who no longer apply to you.

"

One of his employees, reached by phone, is an expatriate Frenchman who followed his partner to Poland.

I would not have taken this opportunity if I did not have the possibility of teleworking," he

testifies.

If companies offered to telecommute, I think that would actually encourage hiring.

 "

Since he offers teleworking, Alain has received twice as many applications as before.
