Dominica's Foreign Minister: "Expo 2020 Dubai" promotes sustainable development in the world

Kenneth Darrow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Expatriate Relations of Dominica, affirmed that the UAE, with its strategic location and rapidly growing economy, will serve as a link point for his country with the rest of the world, which he considered vital to its development process.


 In special statements on the occasion of his country's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, Darrow expressed his aspiration to conclude agreements and attract investments to his country, referring to the "Dominica" citizenship by investment program, which grants the applicant a Dominica passport, which allows its holder to travel without a visa to 130 countries.


 For his part, Ian Douglas, Minister of Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business and Minister of Export Development of Dominica, said that his country is famous for its agricultural crops and picturesque beaches and enjoys a temperate tropical climate, so it is an attractive tourist destination.. He pointed out that Dominica's pavilion at Expo 2020 aspires to deliver a message to the world about the mysteries of the world. This island, which embraces the number of rivers of the year.


 He added that tourism is one of the main tributaries in the country, pointing out that the focus in the coming period will be on eco-tourism, since Dominica has all the required ingredients and has many beach resorts and forests, and this year will start infrastructure work to build an international airport linking Dominica with all parts of the world.


 Denis Charles, Dominica's Minister of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives, said: "We hope that our pavilion will reflect the beauty of our country's natural environment and that visitors will get to know the real Dominica and its beautiful environment, which includes many waterfalls, pristine forests and natural terrain."
