Colin Powell died with covid-19

Colin Powell is said to have died on Monday morning, American time.

This after he was cared for covid-19 at Walter Reed National Medical Center in Maryland.

"We have lost a significant and loving husband, father and a great American," Powell's family wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.

According to the family, 84-year-old Colin Powell was fully vaccinated when he died.
