October 17, 2021 With 90% of people vaccinated with the first dose, the state of emergency will be mitigated. This is said by Walter Ricciardi, professor of Hygiene at Cattolica, scientific director of Maugeri of Pavia and consultant to Health Minister Roberto Speranza, in an interview with La Repubblica.

"Surely that percentage will put us in a condition of greater serenity. It is not enough to eradicate the coronavirus because the children are not yet involved in the campaign but it will still make an extraordinary contribution to safety", Ricciardi says, adding that "90% is fine. but when children can also be vaccinated we will have to maintain the same coverage on the total population ".

When asked if with these numbers the national state of emergency, which expires on December 31, can be removed, he replies as follows: "Let's say that we are at least on the way to a security situation, even if the pandemic is not over. So ours The state of emergency can slowly be attenuated. However, we are surrounded by countries, both European, with dramatic figures in the East, not to mention the rest of the world, first and foremost the USA, where there are gruesome numbers. they will be vaccinated ".

For Ricciardi, the green pass "has already revealed its effectiveness and will further demonstrate it, as happened in Denmark. It will allow us to return to normalcy and safely carry out indoor activities, in which infected and contagious subjects will not participate".

Green pass: Fedriga, with 90% vaccinated it can be eliminated

"I hope so. If the vaccination campaign reaches 90% (we are at 85) I think there is a possibility of eliminating it. I think it can happen by the end of the year".

Thus, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, Massimiliano Fedriga, president of Friuli Venezia Giulia and of the Conference of the Regions, speaking of a possible elimination of the Green pass soon.

For Fedriga, the green certificate "must prove useful against the pandemic. And not a complication. I think most Italians have understood this. As institutions we have a duty to dialogue with those who have doubts and to encourage a lowering of tension" .
