in the last presidential competition, the former president of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is now relying on peaceful protest to dislodge his eternal rival. Through his new platform, Kizza Besigye intends to take over the head of the opposition, even if it means dealing with its leader Bobi Wine.

With the latter, at first glance, relations seem cordial.

A few days after the launch of his political movement, Kizza Besigye shares on Twitter the message of support he received from Bobi Wine.

Formal support because the latter refuses to join this coalition.

He does not intend to leave the place of leader of the opposition to the historical opponent who is trying to make a comeback.

Through the voice of his spokesperson, Bobi Wine recalls that it is his movement, the National Unity Platform (NUP), which embodies “

But for his part, Kizza Besigye is increasing the calls for change.

Those around him are talking about the political immaturity of Bobi Wine who, according to observers, has failed to take advantage of his popularity on the political scene.

The sign that Kizza Besigye wants to resume the leadership of the opposition is the remarkable appointment of Erias Lukwago, the very popular mayor of Kampala, as vice-president of the FDC in the Buganda sub-region, a stronghold of the National Unity Platform.

The stated objective: to regain the ground lost to Bobi Wine, during the last presidential election.
