Paris SG, winner of Chambéry 36-29 on Saturday, continued to fly over the Starligue during the 6th day of the French championship.

Even without their captain Luka Karabatic, preserved, the Parisians made the difference in the second period, in particular thanks to the entry of the Olympic champion goalkeeper Vincent Gérard (8 saves, 44%).

After six matches and as many victories, the capital club is three points ahead of its pursuer Aix and especially five over its runner-up from last season, Montpellier, a week away from the Starligue clash between MHB and PSG in the Hérault.

Present in the stands, Luka Karabatic was "spared" because of a "crutch" according to the general manager of the handball section of the Parisian club Thierry Omeyer, interviewed by beIN sports.

The former goalkeeper said "hope" for his return for the Champions League shock Thursday against defending champion FC Barcelona.

In his absence, and that of winger Benoit Kounkoud due to "gastroenteritis", the Parisians relied on their other pivot Kamil Syprzak, precious (8 goals).
