“The French ambassador is leaving Belarus at the request of Minsk,” the statement reads.
The French embassy confirmed to TASS the information about the diplomat's departure.
Earlier, the French Foreign Ministry expressed regret about Algeria's decision to recall its ambassador from Paris for consultations.
It is noted that France is working to maintain and develop relations with the African country.
