Soon Halloween and it is an eponymous film which finds itself at the head of the North American box office this weekend: "Halloween Kills" raises more than 50 million dollars for its launch, according to provisional estimates of the specialized firm Exhibitor Relations published on Sunday.

It was the best performance for a horror film when it was released during the pandemic, ahead of "Without a noise 2" (47.5 million).

This is despite the fact that the film was released simultaneously on the Peacock streaming platform.

"Halloween Kills", a sequel to "Halloween" 2018, once again stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode opposite Nick Castle (the horrible Michael Myers).

Second at the box office, down sharply from last week, the latest James Bond, "Die Can Wait" with 24.3 million.

This will be Daniel Craig's final participation in the saga of the famous British spy.

“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” is third with 16.5 million.

Tom Hardy plays investigative journalist Eddie Brock, whose symbiotic bond with an alien called Venom gives him superpowers.

In fourth position, we find "The Addams Family 2", which collects 7.2 million dollars.

And fifth, "The Last Duel" by Ridley Scott with $ 4.8 million.

Matt Damon, Adam Driver and Ben Affleck star in this film set in 14th century France.

Here is the rest of the Top 10:

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" (3.5 million)
