Yemeni legitimate forces incur heavy losses to the Houthi militias in Marib and Al-Jawf

Yemeni military sources in Ma'rib governorate confirmed that the army and tribes, backed by the Arab coalition, were able to thwart the Houthi militia's plans to storm the besieged Abdiya district, and managed to thwart Houthi attacks from three axes towards the district's center.

The militias had promoted during the past two days that they had stormed the directorate, but tribal sources from inside Abdiya confirmed the continuation of the fighting against the Houthi militias in several areas, and that the Houthi attempt was in the southern and southeastern regions only, which are open areas targeted by coalition fighters with air raids days ago.

The sources stated that the militias received painful blows from the coalition fighters during the past few hours, which led to the destruction of mechanisms and the death of many of its members, and thwarted their plans to storm the center of the district.

In the Al-Kasara front in the Serwah district, west of Marib, the army and tribes continued to attack militia positions in the area for the second day in a row, as the militias are trying to advance towards the strategic Al-Tala’a Al-Hamra area in the region in order to reach Nakhla Valley and the Balk Mountains region.

The artillery of the Yemeni army targeted Houthi militia reinforcements, including heavy combat vehicles, which were heading from Sirwah towards the Al-Kasara and Al-Mashjah fronts, leaving dead and wounded among its members.

For its part, the coalition fighters launched a series of focused raids, targeting reinforcements of the Houthi militia and inflicting losses on lives and equipment, especially on the Al-Kasara front, which is witnessing violent battles between the two sides.

On the other hand, the air defenses of the Arab coalition were able to intercept and destroy a booby-trapped drone launched by the militias towards the Jazan region in southern Saudi Arabia, according to the Arab coalition, stressing the continuation of taking measures to protect civilians and civilian objects in accordance with international humanitarian law.

In Al-Jawf, adjacent to Marib from the northeastern side, the forces of the Sixth Military Region, backed by the tribes of the governorate, carried out qualitative attacks against militia positions within the framework of the city of Al-Hazm, the capital of the governorate, for the second day in a row, incurring heavy losses.

In Lahj, the joint and southern forces repelled Houthi attacks towards the Tur al-Baha area in the north of the province, where the militias tried to infiltrate the road linking Taiz, Lahj and the capital, Aden, from the direction of fog, attack and al-Adhir, but they failed as a result of monitoring their movements in advance by the joint and southern forces in those areas.

In Hodeidah, the joint forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by Houthi elements in the Tuhayta sector and Hays, south of the governorate, inflicting heavy losses on them, as well as demolishing Houthi hideouts and artillery positions in the east of the city of Hodeidah.
