The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen announced late Saturday night that it had intercepted and destroyed two booby-trapped drones launched by the Houthi group towards Saudi Arabia.

In a brief statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the coalition said that Saudi air forces intercepted and destroyed two booby-trapped drones launched by the Houthi militia towards the southern region of the Kingdom, without specifying a location.

The statement added that the coalition takes "all operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects from hostile attempts."

The Houthis used to launch ballistic missiles and drones at Saudi regions, in exchange for repeated announcements by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen to thwart these attacks, some of which left civilian casualties and damage.
